What Is Xian Ren Zhang
Xian Ren Zhang (Caulis Opuntiae / Cactus Stem) is the fresh or dried fleshy stem (cladode, commonly called a "paddle" or "joint") of Opuntia dillenii Haw., a succulent shrub of the family Cactaceae. In the traditional TCM classification system, Xian Ren Zhang is considered bitter in flavor with a cold nature.
